Genpact India Earned Leave Policy
A regular employee at Genpact is entitled to 25 working days of earned leave in a year. However, availing of these leave would be subject to prior approval from the reporting manager. Employees can accumulate or carry forward their earned leave as per the company’s existing policy.
For part-time employees or associates who are on probation period, the earned leaves will be prorated as per their work schedule.
There is no separate provision for sick leave and casual leave in Genpact. Employees can use their earned leave balance to avail any kind of leave.
Genpact India Maternity Leave Policy
In India, the company has enhanced its paid maternity leave policy for female employees from 12 weeks to 26 weeks. The maternity leave can be availed by eligible female employees for giving birth to up to two children.
The same leave benefits will apply to adopting and commissioning mothers as well.
In addition to maternity leave benefits, Genpact offers access to daycare facilities, reserved parking spots, flexible working hours or work-from-home options, and an office location of their choice for up to one year upon getting back from maternity leave.
Genpact India Paternity Leave Policy
As of now, Genpact offers its male employees five days of paid paternity leave. However, the company has received feedback that increasing paternity leave will allow male employees more time to spend with the newborn baby, and may soon review its existing policy to propose some changes.
Genpact Marriage Leave Policy in India
Genpact understands that preparing for a wedding can be a joyous, as well as a tiring process. Therefore, the company allows its employees to take sufficient time off from work to focus on their big day. Genpact allows its regular employees to avail marriage leave of up to 15 days.
Genpact India Sabbatical Leave Policy
Genpact permits employees to go on sabbaticals ranging from three months to a year to acquire new skills, work on a startup idea, or pursue higher education. There are a few conditions though. The Sabbatical leave is only applicable to regular employees and is without pay.
An employee applying for a sabbatical must have worked at least three years with the company with a good performance record. Genpact’s sabbatical leave policy allows single parents who adopt a child to stay home for up to 84 days.
Genpact Holiday Leave Policy
Employees at Genpact are entitled to 10 holidays in a year. The holiday calendar comprises national holidays and festivals in a year, such as New Year, Independence Day, Diwali, Christmas, etc.
Public holidays at Genpact may vary for employees working in different states of the same country.
Notice Period Policy in Genpact India
Usually, employees are not allowed to take leaves while being on notice period. However, it depends on the direct supervisor or reporting manager, in line with your business commitment, urgency, and leave balance. Employees can request prior approval for availing leaves during the notice period as it can affect their notice period duration/last working day.
Employees in better positions, such as managers and team leaders have to serve a three-month notice period. Whereas, entry-level employees are only required to serve 30 30-day notice period. Though there are no buyout options in Genpact, in exceptional cases, the company reserves the right to waive off notice period at its sole discretion. The full and final settlement (FnF) will be done within 30-60 days of leaving the firm.
