Google Carried Forward Leave Policy
Google India provides 15 annual leaves to its employees in a year, which they can utilize accordingly. At the end of the year, if employees have earned leaves left in their leave balance account, then they can carry forward their paid (earned) leaves to the next consecutive years.
Note: If employees have 15 earned leaves left at the end of the year, they can carry forward all of the leaves to the next year.
Google India Casual Leave Policy
All the employees working at Google India are eligible for six (6) casual leaves. Casual leaves, also known as privileged leave, are the type of leaves that employees have to take for unforeseen events to take care of some personal matters. Casual leave at Google India is only allowed after completing the probation period.
Google India Sick and Vacation Leave Policy
Google employees can avail of 6 sick leaves in a year. Also, employees at Google can now avail of a minimum of 20 paid vacation days annually, which was only 15 days off earlier. However, the amount of paid time off PTO an employee gets in Google will depend on their job title and how long they’ve been associated with the company. Google uses a hybrid work model that allows most of its employees two work-from-home days every week, in addition to the four work-from-anywhere weeks per year.
Having this type of flexibility in the organization is becoming more and more important. It gives employees a little more space and control over their schedules and everyday tasks.

Whereas, all other parents are entitled to 18 weeks of paid leave (earlier, it was 12 weeks) as baby bonding leave. Employees at Google are also entitled to receive caregiver leave. Starting April 2022, Googlers are allowed up to 8 weeks of paid leaves to take care of their loved ones who are seriously ill patients at home.
