Shaadi Mubarak Scheme is a novel initiative set in motion by the Telangana government. The welfare scheme was introduced to assist the marriages of young girls that belong to Muslim minority communities living in Telangana State. Under Shaadi Mubarak Scheme2022, one-time financial assistance of Rs. 1, 00,116 will be given to the bride’s family at the time of marriage to help with the marriage-related expenses.
The Shaadi Mubarak scheme became operational on 2nd October 2014 and is applicable to all the districts of Telangana State. In the financial year 2017-18, during Telangana Budget, the amount of this scheme was increased from the initial amount of Rs. 51,000 to Rs.75,116. On March 19, 2018, again it was increased to Rs. 1, 00,116.
The government of Telangana State has made arrangements to provide financial assistance to the bride’s family, ten days before marriage. To get the benefit of this scheme, eligible candidates have to fill out an application form. Upon this, the District Minority Welfare Officer will process the applications. One can apply for the Shaadi Mubarak Scheme online or through the Mee Seva portal.

Features of the Shaadi Mubarak Scheme 2022
- The Shaadi Mubarak Scheme aims to prevent child marriage and support financially distressed families with marriage-related expenses.
- The scheme was launched by Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana.
- Eligible young girls must apply from Mee Seva Kendra one month before their marriage.
- Under Shaadi Mubarak Scheme in Telangana, the budget allocated for the year 2020-2021 is Rs. 1450 crore.
- Under Shaadi Mubarak Scheme 2022, the amount given to the bride’s family at the time of marriage is ₹1, 00,116.
Who are eligible to apply for Shaadi Mubarak Scheme?
Eligibility criteria for the “Shaadi Mubarak Scheme” are as follows: An unmarried girl must be from a
- Muslim community
- A permanent resident of Telangana state
- Completed 18 years of age at the time of the wedding
- The wedding of the Muslim girl must be on or after 2nd October 2014
- The combined incomes of both parents should not be more than 2 lakh per annum

- Fill out the application form with all the correct information.
- Upload all the required documents/certificates
- Verify the details and submit the application

Documents required to apply for Shaadi Mubarak Scheme.
Applicants are required to furnish all the mandatory documents/certificates while applying for the Shaadi Mubarak Scheme. Following is the list of documents required:

- On the homepage, select the Kalyana Lakshmi Shaadi Mubarak tab
- It directs to a new page Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam Services.
- Go to the ;Shaadi Mubarak Services for Minority and click on Print/Status.
- Under the ;Kalyana Lakshmi Shaadi Mubarak tab, click on the Shaadi Mubarak services for minority section
- To access the details enter the brides Aadhar Number and Phone number
- Check the current status/progress of your Shaadi Mubarak Scheme and take a print of it (optional).

Shaadi Mubarak Scheme details- How it works
As soon as the applicant submits the application form to get covered under the Shaadi Mubarak Scheme, the concerned authorities will examine the details and documents furnished in the application. Upon successful verification of the application, the amount of Rs. 1, 00,116 will be deposited in the bank account in the name of the bride. To seek more information, applicants can visit the Social Welfare Department office at the district headquarters or the nearest Tehsildar office.
